Sobieszewo Island is hidden in the arms of the Dead and the Bold Vistula River. From the North, wide and wild beaches are covered by the waters of the Gulf of Gdańsk. In 1994, the Island received the status of Protected Landscape Area.

The Island is characterized by beautiful, natural landscapes. Most of the Island is covered by the fragrant and bright dune forest. It invites you for long walks, watching animals, and also for bike rides.
The forest leads us to a wide, long and clean beach. Here you can relax your eyes - reaching far beyond the horizon of the sea, as well as the mind - calmed by the steady sound of waves breaking on the shore. The wind and fresh sea air will surely help you to forget the everyday life.

Those who love flora and fauna will also be delighted by hiking through two nature reserves. There are several hundred species of rare birds and other forest animals. Additionally, the "Mewia Łacha" reserve is the only place in Poland where we can look at seals in their natural environment.

Safe coexistence of nature and visitors are assured by educational pathways. They are also an attractive way to present the knowledge about nature to our youngest. Observation platforms are especially appreciated stops on the route. During summer holidays you can meet here educators who talk about seals and birds. However, simply observing these animals gives the best pleasure!
